The T-37 is one of the most numerous primary trainers, with more than 1200 built by Cessna. Officially dubbed the Tweet and nicknamed Tweetie Bird, the T-37 has served as a trainer for the U.S. Air Force since 1957, and only recently has it begun to be replaced. Side-by-side seating allows trainers to watch and correct trainee pilots during flights, making the T-37 particularly capable in its primary role.
