The Hawker 400 has a long and somewhat complicated design history, starting its life as a Mitsubishi aircraft. Beechcraft purchased the design from Mitsubishi and began producing it as the Beechjet 400 (as well as a military variant, the T-1 Jayhawk), until Beechcraft's parent company Raytheon bought the Hawker business jet line from British Aerospace, resulting in the name Hawker 400. This particular model represents the Hawker 400XP that includes a variety of improvements over the original aircraft. Solid construction and a painstakingly detailed finish make this a superb model that any collector will cherish.
