The Story Behind the Model
The "Elephant" was designed to improve mobility on the battlefield. The first production vehicle was delivered to the German Army in 1998. The Fennek is the most up-to-date reconnaissance vehicle of its class and was delivered to the troops in December 2003. Features for the Elephant model include authentic reproduction of checker plate structure, true-to-original movable tires, a semi-trailer that can be connected or disconnected, drive-on ramps that can be optionally up or down, and couplings that can be up or down. The PzH 2000 features rotating turret, elevating barrel, and injection molded track with individual links and segments. On the Fennek, hatches can be shown open, armament 7.62 mm MG or 40 mm grenade launcher can be selected, and sensor head can be optionally extended or retracted.

Your Panzer SLT 50-3 Elefant / Fennek/PzH 2000 is a Level 5 kit - it is for advanced model builders. Parental supervision is sested. Always study the assembly drawings included in the packaging before beginning. Each part is identified by a part number.Trimming to remove extra plastic and filing to smooth before part assembly is sested. For better paint and decal adhesion, wash the plastic parts in a mild detergent solution. Rinse and let air dry. Check the fit of each piece before cementing in place. Allow paint to dry thoroughly before handling parts.
